Ayo Sopitan
Chairman

Ayo is the Founder/CEO of Metalex Africa, a carbon-neutral producer of critical minerals required for the green energy transition. Metalex incubated Misitu Africa.
​
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Ayo held various roles at Bank of America, EY, Accenture and S&P Global over a 15 year career.
​
He holds degrees from Bryant University in Rhode Island, New York University and is a Fellow at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT.

Naomi Nwokolo
Chief Executive Officer

Naomi is a human rights attorney by profession. She held various roles at law firms in Nigeria before taking on the CEO role at the United Nations Global Compact. In that role, she helped mobilize hundreds of large corporates towards achieving various aspects of the UN SDGs.
Under her leadership, more than 400 companies joined the compact and have successfully incorprated the UN SDGs into their models.

She holds degrees from Emory University Law School and Enugu State University.

Moses Chiposa
Chief Forestry Officer

Moses is the Chief Forestry Officer at Misitu. He oversees the technical aspects of project development.
​
Moses was previously the CEO of Plant-a-Million Zambia, a social enterprise that helped corporates to sponsor afforestation and reforestation efforts.
​
He worked in various roles at companies that developed sustainable timber in Zambia.
​
He studied forestry at Copperbelt University, Zambia and Beijing Forestry University.
